On Sunday, four textile factories were set on fire in Ashulia, on the outskirts of the capital Dhaka.

The products of many western clothing brands are manufactured in Bangladesh. The clothing chain H&M has published a statement, according to which the company is “concerned about the events and violence in Bangladesh. The company’s local representatives are constantly monitoring the development of the situation”.

On Monday, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina resignation and fled the country after protests and riots that left hundreds dead.
