Helldivers 2 player helps the newbies with his experience on difficult missions and gets kicked and shouted at for it.
Who is the friendly helper? Reddit user “deathsnipez” is an experienced Helldivers player, with a level of 103. In a post on the social network, he writes that he likes to embark on adventures with random fellow players and helps beginners get to know the game during the mission.
But as the experienced Helldivers player reports, this time he helped the wrong person, because he was rewarded with screaming and a kick.

How did the shouting come about? The experienced “Helldivers 2” player saw that a squad of three fairly new players, level 32, 21 and 3, was on a mission of difficulty 7. He joined them and helped. He noticed that the two higher players were moving away from the lowest level player and that he was having difficulty defeating the enemies. So “deathsnipez” rushed to help the level 3 player.
The experienced helper doesn’t normally use voice chats, he writes in the post on Reddit, but the squad’s newcomer was so panicked that he explained some things in voice chat. Ultimately, the team successfully completed the mission and everything went well, so they went on another mission together. There, the same thing happened again: The two higher-ranking players separated from the newcomer and the Reddit user rushed to help.
After completing the second mission, the Reddit user used the shooter’s hug emote and hugged his three teammates. Then he was suddenly yelled at by the level 32 player and subsequently kicked out of the squad.
Why was he yelled at and kicked? The screaming player accused the Reddit user of hitting on his girlfriend – the level 3 player – and running after her all over the map, helping only her and not the team.
Then came the kick.
What does the community say about the incident? The players want to give him the hug he deserves and encourage him. Some even recognize the friendly player from their own missions together and thank him for his help:
Overall, many players give Helldiver credit for helping new, inexperienced players – this is not a given in the co-op shooter community. Some squads even kick new players out of the lobby instead of explaining the game to them. However, this behavior was sharply criticized by other players: “If you kick low-level players, you’re just bad” – Helldivers 2 community criticizes player behavior
