Once Human has received criticism from frustrated players who want to play with their friends on one server. The problem: There are too many servers and too little space on them.
What is the criticism? Once Human is always struggling with problems. The servers in particular are causing frustration among players. On the one hand, they are too small and fill up quickly – then, of course, no new players can join.
But the number of servers is also a problem, according to the community. There are simply not enough players to properly fill the many servers. But what exactly is the problem?
Inactive players block server slots
What do the players say? The user xAthes describes the problem on Reddit. First of all, the limited slots on the servers are a big problem. Especially because many of them are occupied by players who are not actively playing Once Human.
There are many accounts that have no interest in playing the game regularly and only come in for one or two runs. Even worse are those players who no longer play at all. In this case, Reddit user SleepingFishOCE calls in his own Reddit post for such players to simply be deleted.
xAthes describes how he often has to wait for over an hour before he can join a group. There is a lack of active players on the numerous servers. This kills the game and raises the question of why there are not fewer, larger servers. After all, Once Human is a multiplayer game. xAthes asks: “Why are there so many worlds?”
Is there a solution? xAthes has found his own solution. If possible, he tries to join a fresh server, one that is only a day old. There he usually finds a lot of active players. You can read how to change the world and server on MeinMMO.
But just a week later, the situation looks different. Many are inactive again and there is no multiplayer fun. This frustrates him and other users. They are calling on the developers to rethink the server system:
The server system of Once Human continues to cause a stir among players. It remains to be seen whether and how the developers will tackle the problem. MeinMMO editor Dariusz Müller has written his own article describing what bothers him about the system and what his experiences with it have been.
