Turkey plans to file an application to join a lawsuit filed by South Africa in which the country accuses Israel of mass destruction, Turkey’s foreign minister said Monday in Egypt.

According to the lawsuit, Israel is guilty of mass destruction by its military actions in Gaza, which is often called genocide.

Mass destruction that is, genocide is when the aim is to exterminate a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, either in whole or in part.

According to the Ministry of Health under the extremist organization Hamas, more than 38,600 people have died in Israel’s military operations in Gaza since the beginning of October.

Turkey will submit its application to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Wednesday. The ICJ is a court under the UN in the Netherlands.

Israel has reportedly not commented on Turkey’s decision.
