Poor pensioner Ulla Wikström won five million on tris

Trisslotten showed three television screens. And already there, poor pensioner Ulla Wiklund knew that she would win the highest prize.

– “Oh how good” I thought, now I win five million. I just knew it, says Ulla Wiklund.

A few weeks later it becomes a reality in Nyhetsmorgon – and Ulla Wiklund becomes a millionaire.

– I had expected a really poor retirement, so this was perfect. Now we can feel that we are alive, says Ulla Wiklund.

Donald Duck feeling

With the money, she bought a luxury motor home – for SEK 1.7 million – with functions similar to Donald Duck’s caravan. With a remote control, the 160-centimeter bed is raised from the ceiling and the coffee machine slides forward with the push of a button behind a cupboard in the kitchen.

She lives there with her husband Erik and their two dogs.

– I sleep in the big bed. Erik gets to sleep with the dogs back there, laughs Ulla Wiklund.

The 9.5 meter long motor home also accommodates a microwave, a garage with barbecue and bicycles, separate shower. And an incinerator toilet.

– There will be ashes in a cup you can empty every now and then, says Ulla Wiklund.

“There is nothing that gives more happiness”

Had it not been for the profit that August morning, Ulla Wiklund would have had to sell her apartment and caravan.

– It would have been a very different life. I couldn’t have done anything. Previously, I always had to check extra prices, now I can buy what I want, says Ulla Wiklund.

But what she likes most is what she can give to her family.

– The best thing is that I can help the children with money. There is nothing that brings more happiness than that, says Ulla Wiklund.

“Same Person”

A few decades ago, the couple bought their first boat and since then the vehicles have replaced each other. A stationary summer house has never been able to beat the mobile sense of freedom.

– With a cottage, the lawn needs to be cut and it needs to be repainted. Here I stay as long as I want and just step out into nature. It is freedom, she says.

Even though her win has changed her life a lot, the inside is still the same.

– There is no difference in me as a person after I have won. I am not better than anyone else, says Ulla Wiklund.
