By standing a sensational feat and saving an Olympic silver.
But now the successful man directs harsh criticism after his fantastic effort.
It has been a somewhat unlikely week for the youngster Truls Möregårdh. After performance after performance, he made it all the way to the Olympic final in table tennis as the first Swede in 24 long years.
Möregårdh’s success
The 22-year-old has won the hearts of the Swedish people along the course of the tournament and exceeded all expectations. In the final, he was unfortunately not enough, but despite a silver medal, he is a true winner in the eyes of many.

But immediately after the successful Olympic silver, Möregårdh now directs harsh criticism towards the Olympics in Paris. Because despite the enormous discharge that an Olympic final was on Sunday, there will be no rest for the Swedish success man.
Trul’s great criticism
Already on Monday, a new match awaits Truls when Sweden enters the team competition with a match against Denmark. Many have reacted negatively to the strange scheduling by the organizers and now even the Swedes are seeing the arrangement.

Earlier during the Olympics, Möregårdh had a match postponed due to too tight a schedule and he had hoped for a similar measure for the team competition. But that will not be the case at all and the Swedish table tennis star is clearly disappointed.
– I don’t know how much I will sleep tonight and my body is completely dead. I will try to do everything I can in the team game and I hope that no one has as high hopes for me to be as good there. Because this silver has taken a lot on the body. But I will do everything I can for the team!, he says in the interview and will try to recharge in the best way.
– It’s just to enjoy and celebrate – and still play tomorrow (read. today). If I don’t enjoy this and celebrate in some way with family and everyone who has supported me, I will regret it. It is the biggest thing that will happen to me in my life and I will take advantage of it, although I want to win of course.

Truls Möregårdh forms a team together with Christian Karlsson and Anton Källberg. And they really understand their teammate’s great criticism of the system.
– It is inhumane for Truls. But if there’s anyone who can mentally recharge, it’s Truls. Anton and I get to take on more responsibility! But it is completely understandable if Truls cannot play at his highest level, says Karlsson to the evening newspaper.
