Just like after the gold in the 100 meter freestyle, Sarah Sjöström’s fiance Johan de Jong Skierus was there after gold number two which was taken in the 50 meter freestyle.
He even got to congratulate her with a victory kiss, but it wasn’t entirely easy for him to get in.

– I had to brush off my best school French to some beefy guards to get past. It worked, after many ups and downs. Finally they understood that it is my fiancee, says Johan de Jong Skierus to SVT Sport.
– I have never managed to enter the medal ceremony before. So that means a lot.
