Heavy downpours hit large parts of Sweden today.

Morgan Svanberg, 41, in Onsala was hit hard.

– The pool was pushed out of the patio deck, he says.

Heavy rains have led to major problems in several places in Sweden today. In Stockholm, the Södra länken was completely closed.

Even on the West Coast it was chaotic in several places.

The emergency services in Greater Gothenburg had to be called out due to flooding.

– We have around 50 floods and several units running, said Micael Olsson at the rescue service’s command center to Aftonbladet earlier today.

“Violent downpour”

The Onsala peninsula in Kungsbacka municipality in Halland county was also hit very hard.

Morgan Svanberg, 41, lives there.

– There was a violent downpour and there have been floods in the entire area. Plots and roads are completely flooded, he says.

He himself was affected when his pool was pushed out of the patio deck due to the water pressure.

– All the water stays on the plot as all the wells are full.

The second time he is hit

It is the second time that a rain is so strong that the pool and terrace are destroyed.

– It also happened in February. The damage then cost a quarter of a million, says Morgan Svanberg.

He had to stand for approximately SEK 100,000 himself.

– It is clear that they had intended to do other things than renovating, for that money, he says gloomily.

When Aftonbladet reaches Morgan Svaneberg, it has stopped raining.

– But it will take some time before all the water has run off, he says.
