British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has condemned the riots of recent days as extreme right-wing violence, says the British broadcasting company BBC.

Speaking to reporters at his official residence, Starmer said that those involved will feel the full force of the law.

– You will regret your participation, Starmer stated. He pointed out that there is no justification for the actions.

People have the right to be safe, but we have seen how Muslim communities are targeted and Nazi salutes are made in the streets, the prime minister said.

The rioting has continued for several days. On Sunday, a mob in Rotherham tried to break into a hotel suspected of housing asylum seekers. Information about the hotel’s residents has not been confirmed.

The British Home Office said on Sunday that mosques can henceforth request emergency response personnel when violence threatens.
