A Valorant player received a gift from Riot Games because he was a good teammate and did not allow himself to be provoked.
How did the provocations come about? On Reddit, user “Nunziu” says he played Riot Games’ tactical shooter Valorant with some friends. One of his friends was new to the game, so Nunziu primarily tried to show him the game and explain the abilities of the agent he was playing.
In his post on Reddit, Nunziu says that one player stood out on the opposing team, who played the duelist Reyna. He was at the rank of “Ascendant 3”, which is why “Nunziu” put in a bit of an effort.
Ascendant-3 is one of the highest ranks in Valorant, only the three Immortal ranks and Radiant are above it. Whoever reaches Radiant is at the top of the shooter.
At some point, the Reyna player started to provoke Nunziu. He wrote messages like: “Nice real estate buddy lol.” He was referring to Nunziu’s weapon pendant, which is called “Gun Buddy” in Valorant.
An “Immo” buddy is the reward for reaching the Immortal rank.

Player remains nice despite provocations, is rewarded
How did the player react? “Nunziu” didn’t let himself get upset and remained friendly, he wrote in the Reddit post. He responded to the provocations by saying that the Reyna player was really good and could easily get an Immortal “gun buddy”.
Ultimately, Nunziu and his team won the match 13-12. His teammate, who is new to Valorant, even scored the final kill.
After the match, Nunziu even received a surprising gift from a Riot employee.
What kind of reward was that? Nunziu writes on Reddit that he received a special gun buddy from Riot Games. It is called “Fist Bump Buddy” and looks like a fist.
As it turned out, one of Nunziu’s team members was secretly an employee of Riot Games. After the match, he wrote Nunziu a message and gave him the gun buddy as a reward: “Good game, I’m sending you a Riot gun buddy because you’re a great team member.”
The moral of the story is clear: be good teammates, stay nice and don’t let yourself be provoked. Maybe you too have a hidden Riot employee in the match who will reward you for good behavior.
