An apartment door to a multi-family building in Husby in northwest Stockholm was fired at during the night of Saturday with several shots.
A boy under the age of 18 was arrested nearby shortly after the shooting and is now suspected of attempted murder.
– No one has been found injured and the apartment was empty at the time of the crime, says police spokesperson Helena Boström Thomas.
The alarm came at 00:30. It is unclear whether the arrested person has any connection to other acts of violence that have taken place recently.
– It is a bit early to make a decision, but of course we are looking into it, says Helena Boström Thomas.
The police have started a preliminary investigation into suspected attempted murder and have several resources at the scene during the night.
– We check vehicles and people, take inventory of the camera position and carry out other customary investigative measures.
