A child was reportedly pushed over by a large animal, possibly a wolf, in the Austerlitz nature reserve near Zeist earlier this week. A few weeks ago, there was an incident involving a girl and a dog on the Den Treek estate near Leusden.
The province of Utrecht warns residents and visitors to be very careful in the forest area. And calls on people with small children not to come to the area at all. Due to the various incidents, the province is now preparing a shooting permit for the wolf.
