Jens “Knossi” Knossalla is a German entertainer and successful streamer on Twitch. His mother Ida is often there with him. In a recent stream, the 38-year-old was suddenly confronted with a racist comment – and acted quickly.
What was the situation? Jens “Knossi” Knossalla is one of the biggest entertainers on German Twitch. What was remembered at the end of a recent stream was not the sometimes bizarre content, but a comment from the streamer’s mother.
“Mama Knossalla” used the racist “N-word” in connection with a euphemism for the need to relieve oneself. A reality star was recently kicked out of her new show for the same saying, as Focus reported.
Ida Knossalla is usually a welcome guest in her son’s streams, but this statement caused horror for the Twitch streamer himself, who reacted immediately.
Knossi reacts promptly
What was the immediate reaction? The visibly shocked Knossi immediately interrupted his mother and hurried to assure her that the whole thing had nothing to do with him: He distanced himself from the statement and had no idea where his mother could have picked up the “stupid saying”.
Ida Knossalla also apologized for her choice of words. The stream excerpt was hotly debated online. In the Laesterschwestern subreddit, which mainly deals with the German influencer scene, a thread on the topic received 250 comments. Opinions differ widely:
What is the current development? However, as one user noticed shortly afterwards, the video has since disappeared from Reddit. The Laesterschwestern mod team explains that they have received a copyright complaint. They want to forestall Reddit’s deletion and are therefore removing the post themselves.
The moderators emphasize that they do not want to stop the discussions. Further posts on the topic should therefore be left up
It has now also disappeared from TikTok and X, where the video was available for a little longer. It is not known whether there is a copyright complaint here as well, or whether the videos were removed due to the uncensored use of the N-word.
The deletion of the video has once again sparked discussions: some think it’s okay, as Knossi is only protecting his mother, who is not as much of a public figure as he is. Others see it as an attempt to prevent discussion.
