It was in February this year that an ambulance and police were called to an address in Kungälv, after the man himself, now convicted of murder, had called and told them what had happened.
The woman was found dead on the spot and the man was arrested on the spot. He has previously admitted to causing another’s death, but not murder.
“The district court considers as aggravating that the crime was directed at a close woman who had difficulty defending herself and that it took place in the former shared home,” the district court writes in a press release.
The man is also convicted of unlawful threats against an acquaintance. He must pay damages to the woman’s next of kin and to the person who was subjected to the threat.
