The popular store’s big miss – sold clothes for SEK 0

The popular stores big miss sold clothes for SEK

It is common for stores to have different sales at several different times each year, such as summer sales, Black Friday and mid-day sales.

During sales, you can usually find mobile phones, televisions, white goods, clothes and perfume at really bargain prices.

But this popular clothing chain took the sale to a whole new level, when the new price tag landed at zero kroner. Unfortunately, the sale was involuntary and now the clothing giant is responding to what actually happened.

Members could shop for free

For a period this weekend, customers could buy baby clothes, which usually cost SEK 299, for the price of zero SEK on Kappahl’s website and in some stores. The Falu Courier who was the first to report on the incident, writes that customers could order two garments and only pay for shipping.

When the discovery was established, the fact spread like wildfire on social media. This resulted in the clothing chain’s website crashing.

Kappahl’s response about the incident

Johanna Flemströmhead of communications at Kappahl, tells Falu Kuriren that the clothing giant suffered a “technical incident”.

The clothing chain cannot answer how many orders it applies to, but they have sent out an email to the customers who managed to find a bargain.

“The mistake was entirely on our side, but you who have already placed an order can this time be happy to keep your find at this completely unique (!) price,” they write in the email.
