“A COWARDLY ACT THAT WILL NOT GO UNPUNISHED”
Hamas Political Bureau member Ismail Haniyeh was killed along with his bodyguard in an assassination in Tehran, Iran. Hamas’ senior official Musa Abu Marzouk said in a statement that the assassination of Haniyeh was “a cowardly act that will not go unpunished.”

The Hamas Movement said in a written statement: “The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) mourns the loss of our great Palestinian people, the Arab and Islamic Ummah and the entire free world: Brother, leader, martyr, Mujahid Ismail Haniyeh. The leader of the movement who was killed in a treacherous Zionist raid on his residence in Tehran after attending the inauguration of the new Iranian President (Masoud Pezeshkian).”
MAHMUD ABBAS: “A DANGEROUS DEVELOPMENT”
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, in a statement, described the assassination as a “cowardly act” and a “dangerous development.” Condemning the assassination, Abbas called on Palestinians to “be united, patient and resolute in the face of the Israeli occupation.”

Deputy Secretary General of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, Mohammed al-Hindi, said: “This assassination is not only against the Palestinian resistance and especially Hamas, but also against Iran. Israel is on the verge of collapse, its reactions reflect confusion and its inability to achieve any of its goals. This is the first time in its history that Israel has faced such resistance.” (İHA)
