A man has been found shot outside in Upplands-Bro.

According to the police, he has life-threatening injuries.

The shooter was filmed by police cameras, according to Aftonbladet’s information.

At 21:58 on Tuesday evening, the police were alerted to a shooting in Upplands-Bro northwest of Stockholm.

A man with a gunshot wound was found at the scene.

– The public was caring for him with cardiopulmonary resuscitation while waiting for an ambulance. Then the police took over care before the ambulance arrived, says police spokesperson Ola Österling.

The man has life-threatening injuries and has been taken to hospital, according to the police.

An extensive police operation is underway in the area.

– Several shots have been fired. I don’t know how many people have met the person, says Ola Österling at the police’s regional command centre.

According to Aftonbladet’s information, the shooter was filmed by police cameras in connection with the crime.

– I can’t say exactly what our surveillance cameras documented, but I know that we started collecting footage, says Ola Österling.

Earlier on Tuesday evening, a man was shot in Jordbro, south of Stockholm. The police are investigating whether there is a connection between the shootings.

– It is not something we can rule out, says Ola Österling.
