Simone Biles led USA to Olympic gold as expected | Sports in a nutshell

Simone Biles was a familiar force in the team competition in the floor plan as she led the United States to an overwhelming victory.

Biles scored excellent scores on each platform: 14.900 on vault, 14.400 on uneven bars, 14.366 on beam and 14.666 on balance beam. The USA’s total score was 171.296, while second place Italy got 165.494 points and third place Brazil got 164.497 points.

In addition to Biles, the team competed Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, Sunisa Lee and Hezly Rivera. At the Tokyo Olympics, the United States took silver. In addition to Biles, the Tokyo team included Chiles and Lee.
