A third match and a third day brilliantly concluded for Morocco and Egypt, qualified for the quarter-finals of the Olympic football tournament.

The Atlas Lions, surprised on the second day by Ukraine (2-1), controlled the Iraqis to secure an undeniable victory (3-0). In the 19th minute, Amir Richardson opened the scoring on an assist from Achraf Hakimi. Less than 10 minutes later, Soufiane Rahimi scored his fourth goal of the tournament and allowed his team to break away (28th). Before half-time, a goal from Abde Ezzalzouli (36th) definitively put the Moroccans in the clear while ensuring them first place in the group ahead of Argentina.

Egypt also clinched first place in their group after their exploit against Spain (2-1). The young Pharaohs took advantage of the talent of their striker Ibrahim Adel, a player from Pyramids FC, to tame the little Roja. A double from the young 23-year-old player (40th, and 60th) secured first place for Egypt, even if the Spaniards, already qualified before this day, played with a revamped team.
