Imagine a job paying 3000 euros per month, with a house as a bonus and the inherent expenses included, all in one of the most touristic and sunniest regions of Europe. This is the announcement made by owners of a farm house, the famous “fincas”, on a very serious job offer platform.
The offer is real and still involves some requirements and specific tasks to be carried out. This job, located in a small town on the Costa Brava, requires taking care of tasks as diverse as general maintenance to welcoming visitors. Tasks include cleaning the finca, small repairs, plumbing, gardening, as well as cooking, ironing and laundry management. Employees will also have to maintain lighting systems and carry out other small repairs to ensure that the property remains in perfect condition.
In addition to free accommodation, the workers will have a car at their disposal to facilitate their travel, which means that one of the couple must have a driving license. The owners of the house have also established precise criteria for the candidates. They must be a couple without children or pets, have skills in DIY and cooking, and speak Spanish fluently. Knowledge of Catalan is a plus, but not mandatory. A minimum level of education (equivalent to the end of primary school) is also required.
Candidates must be available to work six days a week. They are entitled to paid vacation, of course, but will have to take their vacations away from home and outside of the tourist season. In addition, it is requested that employees do not receive visitors or family gatherings on the property.
