Harri Heliovaara had a blast when he and Henry Patten

The duo ranked number one returned to the competition courts after their Wimbledon championship.

Finnish player in the doubles of the Washington ATP tournament Harri Heliövaara and his partner Henry Patten made a triumphant return to the competition fields.

The Finnish-British pair defeated their 1st round opponent Croatia Ivan Dodigin and the United States Ben Shelton’s directly in two sets (6–3, 7–5).

The game was stopped due to rain during the first period, but after the break the men were able to continue the game.

Ranked number one in the tournament, Heliövaara and Patten played for the first time since their Wimbledon doubles championship in July.

On Tuesday, the pair will face France Sadio Doumbian and Monaco Hugo Nysin.
