With only 35 medals in its Olympic history and only 7 obtained 3 years ago in Japan, India, despite being the most populous country in the world, remains an outsider at the Games. Of the country’s 10 Olympic titles, 8 have been won by field hockey players, the national sport in India. Even though the budding Indian hockey players have not won the title for 44 years, after a bronze medal in Tokyo, they are determined to reclaim the title of Olympic champion. Martin Guez followed their 2nd group match in Colombes, in the historic Yves du Manoir stadium, it was against Argentina.
