The next spotlight hour is waiting for you in Pokémon GO. Here you can look forward to the Pokémon Togedemaru and a Stardust bonus.
What kind of event is this? Every Tuesday in Pokémon GO, the so-called Spotlight Hour takes place. This is a recurring event in which a Pokémon is in the spotlight and appears in very high numbers over the course of the event.
There is also a bonus that is also active for 60 minutes.
The next spotlight hour will focus on Togedemaru. The Pokémon comes from the 7th generation and has the electric and steel types. It has no evolutions.
Spotlight Hour on July 30th – Start and Bonuses
When does the spotlight hour start? As usual, the spotlight hour starts at 6:00 p.m. It runs for 60 minutes and ends at 7:00 p.m.
Which bonuses are active? If you catch Pokémon during the event, you will receive double the amount of Stardust. This bonus applies not only to catching Togedemaru, but to all Pokémon that you catch within the 60 minutes.
So, for example, if you still have Pokémon encounters from field research, for example with Pokémon that generally give you more stardust, then the event is the perfect opportunity to catch the monsters.
Can you catch shiny Togedemaru? Yes. If you’re lucky, you might also encounter the shiny version of Togedemaru in the event.
Is the spotlight hour worth it? Togedemaru is not a Pokémon that impresses with its abilities in raids. You won’t find it on the list of the best attackers in Pokémon GO.
It doesn’t play a big role in the battle leagues either. While it shouldn’t be represented at all in the Hyper and Master Leagues, it’s at least in the lower midfield in the Super League. Nevertheless, you should rather rely on other Pokémon here.
If you want to add Shiny Togedemaru to your collection and haven’t had much luck so far, then this event could be the perfect opportunity for you to go hunting.
The additional stardust from the bonus can also help you replenish your supplies a bit.
