“A breath of fresh air” Horror legend Stephen King called the first season of the German Netflix series Kleo, which hit the streaming service in 2022 and thrilled the national and international press. Jella Haase has been back on our screens as a tough ex-spy for a few days now and has immediately secured the top spot in the series charts on Netflix with season 2.
After six new episodes full of hair-raising events and twists, the question inevitably arises as to what will happen to Kleo. But can we expect a 3rd season calculate?
Is Kleo season 3 with Jella Haase coming to Netflix?
Since the second season of Kleo has just started on Netflix, fans will probably have to wait a while until there is a final answer to this question. After all, Netflix is known for looking closely at streaming figures and weighing up whether it is worth renewing a series. It will probably be a few weeks before the first figures can be evaluated. This is how the second season about six weeks after the start of the first season confirmed on Netflix.

However, the Kleo authors HaRiBo (Vier Blocks), consisting of Hanno Hackfurt, Richard Kropf and Bob Konrad, already stated in an interview with Quotenmeter that they are already working on the scripts for a third season. Because the story of Jella Haase’s eponymous secret agent and her police lover Sven (Dimitrij Schaad) is far from over.
Warning, here are spoilers for the end of season 2: In the season finale, Kleo finds out that she has a brother named Harald, who is on a Soviet mission in space. He receives the news that his father, KGB General Nikolai, has died. The fact that Kleo is responsible for this death is likely to cause considerable potential for conflict with Harald, the BND, CIA and KGB in future episodes. Spoiler end.
When is Kleo season 3 coming to Netflix?
The second season has reached us on Netflix two years after the first. Since Chantal in Fairytale Land star Jella Haase is currently one of the most sought-after German actresses, it will not be easy to shoot a third season of the series in a timely manner.
In the worst case, fans have to prepare another two years to wait for a new season of Kleo. The hope that things might move a little faster this time is the last to die.
