Much indicates that it was left-wing extremists who were behind the sabotage that affected train traffic in France on Friday – the same day that the Olympics were inaugurated.

That’s what French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin says.

– We have profiles of several people who may have been behind this, says Darmanin to the France 2 television channel.

Around 800,000 travelers were affected by canceled departures and delays following Friday’s coordinated attacks on the high-speed TGV trains.

According to France’s Transport Minister Patrice Vergriete, train traffic is back to normal on Monday morning.

– I can confirm that all the trains are circulating normally, he says.
