Brazil got off to a good start at the Olympics with victory in the opener against Nigeria. In the second match, where Japan was the opposition, it seemed for a long time to collect the second win.

  • Crazy game – eleven goals as Australia turned around and won against Zambia

  • With five minutes left in regular time, Marta, who is making her sixth and final Olympic Games, was replaced with a 1–0 lead.

    And then came the twist.

In the 91st minute, Saki Jumagai sent in 1-1 on penalties. Five minutes later it was time again. Swedish star Momoko Tanikawa, on a regular basis in women’s Swedish club FC Rosengård, knocked in, a little out of nowhere, to make it 2-1 from distance.
