USA, personal spending +0.3% and income +0.2% in June

USA personal expenses 08 and income 03 in February

(Finance) – American family incomes are increasing, as are personal spending. According to the United States Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), personal consumption (PCE) rose by 0.3% to June 2024 compared to +0.4% in the previous month and against the +0.3% expected by analysts.

THE personal income recorded an increase of 0.2%, less than the +0.4% of the previous month and the +0.4% estimated by the consensus.

The PCE price index corea measure of inflation, showed a positive change of 0.2% on a monthly basis (compared to +0.1% recorded the previous month) in line with market estimates and of 2.6% on a yearly basis, above the expected +2.5% and equal to the +2.6% recorded in May.
