The police were alerted at half past four in the morning by several people who heard loud bangs, but are very tight-lipped about what happened.
– We have cordoned off the suspected crime scene. We are investigating a serious crime and cannot go into any details right now, says Mattias Rutegård, press spokesperson at the police in the Mitt region, to TT.
An injured man was found at the scene and taken to hospital by ambulance. The extent of the damage is unclear.
The incident must have taken place outdoors on a street where several nightclubs and restaurants are located. The police are now working to interview witnesses and carry out technical investigations at the scene.
– We have a large resource at the site and are working to create a situational picture of what happened, says Mattias Rutegård.
No one has been arrested.
