The lyrics are about riding like dala horses, drinking bubbly on the balcony and roaming around the village.
And the Swedish people love it.
There are probably few who have escaped the mega-success of the EPA genre, or the “EPA can” as it is more commonly called, in recent years. The company Records song “Kan inte gå” became Sweden’s most streamed song in 2022, the music duo Hooray became artist of the year at the P3 Gold Gala in 2023, and Miss Snusk won the final of “Masked singer 2024” wearing the character Kameleonten.
The success on the top lists has of course meant that the wallets have grown thicker at the same time. News24 has charted how much the biggest genre artists earned last year – and exactly how much “bubble on the balcony” they can drink.
1. The company Records
With chart-toppers such as ‘Can’t go’, ‘Ikväll igien’, and ‘Astronaut’, Bolaget Records appeals to the very largest masses. The music group from Falun was formed in 2019 and consists of William Ahlborg – also known as the brother of the influencer Linn Ahlborg –, Adam Bergestål, Gustav Jorgensen and Oliver Norqvist.
According to information taken from All companies The joint-stock company Geten Ruben AB, which owns the Bolaget Records brand, had a turnover of almost SEK 26,150,000 last year and an operating profit of around SEK 13,300,000.
The company has had a dividend of 1,480,000 in 2023, followed by 1,240,000 the year before – a juicy sum to say the least for the 4 guys who are all registered with the company.
With an ongoing tour and several planned song releases, the success will not end anytime soon!

2. Rasmus Gozzi & Miss Snusk
News24 has previously written about the success behind the artist and producer Rasmus Gozzi, 31.
In 2021, Gozzi released the song “Strypsex i ditt garage” together with Doggy Doggelito, and the following year he and the artist Fröken Snusk had a mega hit with the song “Ride me like a dala horse”. When News24 took note of information from the Tax Agency in connection with the successes, a monthly salary of SEK 24,025 was determined in 2022.
However, that is not the whole truth: Gozzi runs the record company Gozzi Records, where the ownership of artists collaborating with the producer lies, including Ms. Snusk, Louise Andersson Bodin and The Raggar League.
The turnover for Gozzi Records in 2023 landed at around SEK 12,260,000: an increase of almost 100 percent from the year before. However, no dividend has been paid – but who knows, maybe it means increased future investments for the producer?

3. Lia Larsson
It has also been a record year for the former Melodifestivalen current influencer and artist Olivia “Lia” Larsson22. With famous songs such as “30KM/H” and “BANKA BANKA” the artist has made his mark on raggar music, and has been rewarded for it to say the least.
In 2023, the artist’s company LiaLarssonAB showed an annual turnover of approximately SEK 1,070,000 and a profit of SEK 206,000, according to figures obtained from All companies.

Last, but definitely not least, on the list we find the music duo from Gällivare: Hooja & DJ Marten. Despite the absence of the words “rough”, “dalahest” and “raggare” in their lyrics, the group has come to be strongly associated with the emerging EPA genre.
In 2022, the company HOOJ AB was formed, which according to information from All companies measured a turnover of SEK 17,200,000 last year: an almost fourfold increase from 2022, when the same figure was instead SEK 4,900,000.
According to information from Tax Agencyas The evening paper took part, Hooja had an earned earned income of SEK 657,600 for the income year 2022, which gives him an average monthly salary of SEK 54,800.
DJ Mårdhund’s monthly salary instead lands at SEK 43,708, with an earned income of SEK 524,500.
Similar figures are missing for 2023, but given the year of success for the duo, it is possible to make an assumption of significantly higher sums.
