Intesa Sanpaolo co-advises Enel in its partnership with Masdar on photovoltaic plants in Spain

Intesa Sanpaolo accelerates towards reducing its own emissions

(Telestock) – Intesa Sanpaolothrough the IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Divisionintervened as co-advisor of the Enel Group for the partnership agreement signed with Masdar for the management of photovoltaic systems in Spain.

The agreement calls for Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company) to acquire a minority stake in EGPE Solar, vehicle that holds the current portfolio of Endesa photovoltaic plants (controlled by Enel and among the main electricity companies in Spain and Portugal) already operational, for a fee of 817 million euros.

The transaction will allow Enel to maintain control of EGPE Solar, maximising the productivity and returns on invested capital.

With this operation Intesa Sanpaolo, led by CEO Carlo Messinaplaces its experience in extraordinary corporate finance operations, its broad knowledge of financial markets and industrial reality at the service of companies on an international level.
