Even though One Piece has been running for ages, the last chapters give us a lot of new information about the world, the world government and currently even about One Piece, especially about the power that can be obtained through the great treasure. In the latest chapter, Vegapunk gives us new clues.

What happens in the chapter? The battle against Saturn continues. Bonney, in her new form, and Luffy fight against the member of the Five Elders, while Vegapunk continues his message to the world. Bonney and Luffy do quite well.
Bonney tearfully reflects on her past and, together with Luffy, makes a tag-team move against Saturn. But the most interesting thing about the chapter is what Vegapunk has to say. He talks about the cruel acts of the government and the One Piece.

How powerful is the One Piece?
What does Vegapunk talk about in the current chapter? Vegapunk starts talking about the Lost Century. He explains that the sinking of the continent was caused by humans, with weapons. He is probably talking about the Ancient Weapons.
In the chapter you can see panels about ViVi, Shirahoshi, Skypia, Pudding and King. Vegapunk also mentions here that the World Government is trying to kill descendants of lost peoples. In the panel about King you can see that you get a reward if you give the government information. King belongs to the Lunari, an ancient people with the ability to create fire on their bodies. Kuma and Pudding also belong to a forgotten people.
At the end of the chapter he talks about the One Piece. The people who do not allow themselves to be suppressed are the ones who are closest to the truth. Roger initiated this. The One Piece has the power to change the fate of the world. In relation to this he also mentions that the flood cannot be stopped.
However, he also says that the person who finds the One Piece won’t necessarily be the legendary Joy Boy. In this chapter, it becomes clear that the One Piece is meant to be more than just a simple treasure or a concept. Vegapunk hints that Roger had a bigger plan for the Pirate Age.

You can see the Shanks Pirates, Blackbeard, Buggy’s troop, but also the government, which once again shows that it is also interested in One Piece.
