Abigail in Bloodlust: One of the best horror films of 2024 so far

Abigail has a rating of 6.4 on our 2nd place of the best horror films 2024right behind MaXXXine. The entertaining horror film also convinces with its exaggerated harshness, which used up Ireland’s entire supply of artificial bloodIn addition to the bloodlust and disgusting effects, such as a pool full of rotting corpses, Abigail also impresses with its enthusiastic ensemble, as the review on FILMSTARTS states.

The sudden vampire hunters are hopelessly overwhelmed and try to use the usual film cliché tools to put an end to the undead ballerina. The somewhat dull beginning escalates into a rapid pace and provide more and more twists.

The story takes a few dramatic twists and turns every now and then. But in the finale, it feels like undermine the audience’s expectations every minute which in this case seems a little forced […]But that changes little the fact that the expansive, completely impetuous showdown in all its destructiveness is a real joy – the blood finally pours out in streams across the screen!
