The Olympic flame traveled in Paris towards the evening’s opening ceremony and the Eiffel Tower. On Friday, the torch was carried by American celebrities Snoop Dogg and Pharrel Williams, among others.

The Olympic flame is passing through the streets of Paris, which means that everything is getting ready for the opening ceremony in the evening. Among the latest bearers of the Olympic flame were American rappers Snoop Doggproperly named Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr.

The musician carried the torch through the streets of Saint-Denis in the north of Paris, where the Stade de France Olympic stadium, which is the center of athletics, is located, among other things. Snoop Dogg, 52, is from Los Angeles, the host city of the 2028 Games.

The leg was the final stages of the torch’s journey before it reaches its destination at the Eiffel Tower. Along with the American artist, the torch was carried in Saint-Denis by, among others, a French actor Laetitia Casta and American musician and fashion designer Pharrell Williams.

The Olympic torch started its journey from Greece on April 16, 100 days before the start of the Paris Games. The first torch was given to Greek rower Stefanos Ntouskos, who won gold at the Tokyo Olympics. The Olympic flame has passed through Athens and from there through the French territories of French Polynesia, Guadeloupe and Martinique to the country’s capital.

According to Soihtu’s estimate, a total of around 11,000 bearers have participated in the 5,000 kilometer journey. The plaintiffs have included, among others, a former top football coach Arsene Wengerformula driver Charles Leclerc and actor Halle Berry.
