In 2019, the DUMS, Theaterschool Utrecht and dance center moved into the building on the Domplein. The intention was that these three institutions would jointly rent the building from the municipality. A separate foundation was established for this purpose in 2021: DOMUS.
But the three parties fell out. Differences in wishes and interests made for a difficult collaboration. There also appeared to be insufficient knowledge about the management of such a large building. The dance school left after a conflict about the cost contribution, the Theater School had also not been on the board of DOMUS for several months. It now consisted of one person: the chairman of the music school.
