Covid France figures April 5 hospitalizations on the rise

CORONAVIRUS FIGURES OF THE DAY. More than 27,000 new cases recorded in 24 hours. The incidence rate and hospitalizations are on the rise. The virus will continue to evolve according to the WHO. Scenarios and latest covid figures as of April 5.

[Mis à jour le 5 avril 2022 à 10h47] the Sars-Cov-2, virus responsible for the global Covid pandemic, continues to circulate with 27,648 new cases counted in 24 hours (very low figure like every Tuesday). the incidence rate is rising in all age groups from more than 11% to reach almost 1500 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. The hospitalizations increase by more than 9%.The most likely scenario is that the virus continues to evolve. However, the severity of illnesses caused by this virus over time could decline with vaccinations. From periodic outbreaks with more cases and deaths could well happen as immunity gradually declines which could cause booster dose requirements. In our best case scenario we envision fewer severe variants emerging with new vaccine formulations that wouldn’t even be necessary. The worst-case scenario envisaged would be the emergence of more transmissible variants and this could lead to serious forms and more deaths” according to Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director general of the World Health Organization (WHO) during a press conference on March 30. Every day, Santé Publique France presents a dashboard key epidemic monitoring indicators: confirmed cases, death, hospitalizationsadmissions in intensive care or critical care, contaminationdigits of the vaccination… To which are added the data published by the government. here is the review of the latest figures, as of Tuesday, April 5 2022.
