There is no break for sports fans, because after the European Championship in men’s football, the sporting action continues. The Olympic Games are taking place in Paris, France. Since July 24, viewers of the competition have been able to watch disciplines such as handball, rugby or football. Since the European Championship was a real ratings guarantee for ZDF, the broadcaster is also sticking with the popular sport. But for this to happen, a real long-running hit has to be Free up space in the TV program.
This Thursday, the DFB women’s soccer team will face the Australian squad. The 2016 Olympic champions will give everything they have to build on their success back then. This will make all soccer fans’ hearts beat faster, but others will have to take a step back. The match kicks off at 7 p.m., and the pre-match coverage on ZDF begins 15 minutes earlier.
The mountain rescuers will be out for several weeks
On Thursdays at 8:15 p.m., the TV channel is currently broadcasting repeats of the popular soap opera Die Bergretter. But today Luise Bähr and Sebastian Ströbel can treat themselves to a day off. The broadcast of the DFB women’s team and the coverage of other sports will continue until 9:45 p.m. For fans of the show, however, the trip to the Austrian mountains is canceled not only this week. The mountain rescuers will not be back on the screens until August 8thbecause next week ZDF will also be reporting on the Olympic Games. Then viewers can look forward to the episode “This One Life”.
