The tornado in Mjölby was captured in a picture by Daniel

A tornado has been seen north of Skänninge, outside Mjölby.
Daniel Jerndahl, 45, saw the weather phenomenon – and then it was the gas at the bottom that mattered.
– The first thing I thought was “that can’t be true”.

Daniel Jerndahl, 45, was on his way to the office in Skänninge after his on-call job on Wednesday morning, when he saw how two tornadoes appeared in the sky, which had previously been noticed by Corren.

– I saw when they were born. Then I drove as fast as possible, within legal means, to get as close as possible. There were two that lasted four to five minutes.

“Began to grow”

He stopped the car, picked up his mobile phone and started filming.

– The first thing I thought was “that can’t be true”. I watched as they began to grow with each passing second.

“It was great fun to watch”

It is lucky that it was Daniel who saw the phenomenon. He is fascinated by extreme weather and a few years ago he went to Texas hoping to see tornadoes, but missed them.

– It had to be at home instead. It was great fun to watch.

Tornadoes are small but powerful vortices that form in intense cumulus clouds that are most common in the summer, but they can also occur in the fall.

Thrombosis is an unusual but not unique phenomenon. It is estimated that about ten are formed in Sweden every year – but the exact number is uncertain.
