It was off the coast of New Hampshire, in the northeastern United States, that the humpback whale appeared. In the middle of a leap, it crashed with a fishing boat. Within seconds, the two men on board had been thrown off, and the boat capsized.
The men survived without injury thanks to two teenagers on a boat nearby, who managed to get them out of the water, reports say USA Today. Even the whales are reported to have escaped unscathed.
