Let’s think back to Philadelphia in the 1970s. A young man tries to make the impossible come true. Rocky Balboa (Stallone) lives from hand to mouth. His source of income is any job he can get, including as a debt collector. But he has a Talent for boxing and regularly competes in amateur fights.
Rocky is unexpectedly given the chance to Heavyweight Champion Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers). For Rocky, a win could mean the start of a new life: with money, fame and maybe even the recognition of his great love. So he starts training under the instruction of the eccentric Mickey (Burgess Meredith). For him, everything is at stake.
