A villa in Sollefteå started to burn heavily during the night of Wednesday. At 01:30, neighbors saw flames coming from the property and called the emergency services.
Police have tried to reach the residents of the villa but were unsuccessful.
– We have tried in every way to reach them and unfortunately we suspect that they are still inside the villa. As far as I know, they haven’t managed to get into the villa, says Mattias Jonsson, commander at police region North.
When the emergency services arrived at the scene, the house was already on fire and they are now working to limit the spread.
– They are there and fully extinguishing the fire, but I don’t know if the house can be saved or what the forecast is, says Mattias Jonsson.
