First day of competition at the Paris 2024 Olympics two days before the opening ceremony.
Yes, the Olympic Games officially begin this Wednesday, July 24 with the very first events of these highly anticipated Olympic Games in Paris. The day will be entirely dedicated to the football matches of the Olympic tournament, but also those of rugby 7s.
Thierry Henry’s French team will launch its Olympic campaign at 9 p.m. by facing the United States for their first match of the group stage in Group A. The match will take place in Marseille, in a Stade Vélodrome that is boiling hot for the occasion.
We will also follow from 4:30 p.m. the big debut of the French men’s rugby 7s team with Antoine Dupont. The French have a good chance of winning a medal and maybe even the gold medal. First match against the USA before the second against Uruguay at 8 p.m.
