Helldivers 2 is set to receive its biggest update yet in August. This will finally bring new enemies and a new level of difficulty.

Recently, it’s been quiet for a while about Helldivers 2. The co-op shooter experienced a bit of a lull on Steam, with player numbers shrinking and shrinking. Now the developers have announced a new update, and it’s supposed to be the game’s biggest yet.

What kind of update is this? Helldivers 2 will receive the co-op shooter’s biggest update to date on August 6, 2024. The update will be released under the title “Escalation of Freedom” and will bring, among other things, new enemies and a new level of difficulty.

This content comes with the new update:

    New bugs and robots, but no new faction?

    Will a new faction also emerge? The announcement for the upcoming update does not mention a new faction, so we cannot assume that a new, hostile group will appear with the update.

    The players of Helldivers 2 have been waiting for the arrival of the Illuminated for months. Alternatively, the Cyborgs could appear. Some players believe that they are the masters of the robots.

    But even if no new faction is mentioned in the announcement, it cannot be ruled out that the Illuminated will appear with the upcoming update.
