“Women’s football continues to develop internationally and in Sweden. With our tradition and good organizing experience, we want to create the conditions for a championship in time with our Danish colleagues. We believe we have the opportunity to offer a tight EC in 2029 in modern arenas,” says Fredrik Reinfeldt, chairman of the Swedish Football Association.
The European Football Association (Uefa) will decide on the host in December 2025.
