– At 20.08 we received information about a person who threw an object into a shop in Geneta. We are on site with an extensive effort in Södertälje in this area, says Ola Österling, press spokesperson at the police.
The emergency services and police are on the scene.
– We have cordoned off the site and are investigating the damage to the store and whether there are any injuries.
According to TV4 Nyheterna’s information, it is supposed to be a hand grenade.
The police announce that the person taken to hospital is a woman and that several people have been detained.
– The woman has received shrapnel injuries. There may be more injured people, who are slightly injured, those who have been injured and walked away. That is what we are investigating, says Ola Österling.
The police have opened a criminal investigation into attempted murder.
