Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu has requested a personal meeting with the former President of the United States and current Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s with, says the American Politico magazine.
Netanyahu is visiting the United States this week. He meets the president in Washington Joe Biden and Vice President Horrible Harris and will address the US Congress on Wednesday.
In recent days, Trump and Netanyahu’s background teams have held discussions about a possible meeting between the two in Florida. It is not yet clear whether Trump, who has often criticized Netanyahu, will agree to meet the Israeli prime minister.
