AIK went to Gamla Ullevi in the hope of a successful debut for new coach Mikkjal Thomassen. Instead, you have to go home with your tail between your legs as Gais won 2-0.

Gais have proven to be considerably more difficult to beat in the Allsvenskan than the common people had guessed in advance, something they proved further against AIK, who were reduced to few hot goal chances.

AIK came close to retaliating quickly when speedy Rui Modesto turned inside out on his defender and via Gais goalkeeper Mergim Krasniqi hit the post.
The Stockholm team tried to speed up the match after halftime by replacing Bersant Celina, who was somewhat unexpectedly benched.
But the effect failed and with ten minutes to go, Alexander Ahl Holmström nodded cleanly into 2-0 and the nail in the coffin. Gais is now sixth in the table.
