These are some of the people who are considered to be able to take the role of vice president alongside Kamala Harris, according to SVT’s USA correspondent Fouad Youcefi. But more names than that are in the speculation.
However, whether she will actually become a presidential candidate is still unclear. While Kamala Harris, as Joe Biden’s vice president, has emerged as the obvious main alternative after his defection, someone may still challenge her for the nomination at the Democratic convention in August. Then the party’s presidential candidate is formally appointed.
