The boy is a British citizen and participated in the football tournament “Gothia cup” in Gothenburg.
The alarm came at 5pm last Friday that a boy had been found in a pool. Emergency services, police and ambulance rushed to the scene.
Sahlgrenska University Hospital now tells GP that the condition of the boy, who is in his late teens, is life-threatening.
It is unclear what caused the incident.
The case is being investigated by the police as causing bodily harm.
