Logan ignores all genre conventions and the rest of the colorful Marvel cinematic universe. What we get here is a dirty, dark and highly melancholic swan song on the X-Men, superheroes in general and of course, above all, a reckoning with the character Wolverine. Clearly one of the – if not the best marvel movie ever.
Deadpool 2 is a much weaker contrast and doesn’t take anything seriously. Despite the idiosyncratic humor and the sayings that take some getting used to, the whole thing is still entertaining. Fans tune in without hesitation anyway and are looking forward to part 3 in the form of Deadpool & Wolverine, which will be in theaters soon.
