It’s time again for our MeinMMO format “MMORPG news in two minutes”. We’ll summarize the most important news about the best genre in the world. On July 18, 2024, a 1.6 GB patch for Black Desert was released, which included many class changes as well as improvements to UI, posts, transportation, and more (via naeu.playblackdesert.com).
With the Paths to Glory update, Albion Online will receive a new achievement and mission system on July 22, 2024, which will guide newcomers and offer veterans further incentives. Other new features include several crystal weapons, extensive adjustments for the Roads of Avalon, and optimizations for Guild Islands, the Fate Board, and more.
MU Legend was supposed to return after a general overhaul by the developers. However, it currently looks as if the team at Valofe has buried the title for good.
A player from Lord of the Rings Online was the victim of a brass knuckles attack and was seriously injured. The MMORPG’s wonderful community is helping with donations and a great in-game event.
Lord of the Rings Online again: Next month, a new dungeon is set to land unexpectedly on the live servers. Before that, on July 23, 2024, Update 41 is set to be released, with ornithology hobby and PvP revisions (via massivelyop.com).

Update 2.8, called Conquest, was released for Aion Classic on July 17, 2024. You can expect the new maximum level of 58, new campaign quests, the Battle for Apheta Beluslan and the Disk of Phaistos instance (via gameforge.com).
On July 16, 2024, the well-known adventure zone Mount Hotenow returned in a revised form thanks to the Mountain of Flame update for Neverwinter (via playneverwinter.com). In an interview with Gamerant, the developers explained why they chose this rather unusual approach with Module 29. The short version: “Popularity and uniqueness! Compared to many other underground zones, it was a really eye-catching area and many players were keen for us to bring it back as an iconic location on the Sword Coast.”
The Producer’s Letter from July 2024 gave a preview of the upcoming content of DC Universe Online. The first content has already gone live with the update Brainiac Returns: Aftershock. Now the developers are preparing for Episode 48 and the launch on Xbox Series. More information will be available on July 26, 2024 (via dcuniverseonline.com).
According to the developers, EverQuest 2’s progression server Varsoon will be supported until May 2025 and will receive content up to Tears of Veeshan. You can find the exact schedule on everquest2.com.
